Current format

Lotto 5 Max uses the same six numbers selected for the main Lotto draw, from 1–52, and one separate Bonus Ball from 1–52. It has an independent draw and prize pool. The add-on costs R2.50 and requires the main Lotto and Lotto Plus 1 entries.

Draw schedule and cutoff

Lotto 5 Max is drawn every Wednesday and Saturday at approximately 20:56 SAST. This workspace uses Africa/Johannesburg and closes free reference picks at 20:30 SAST.

Prize divisions

The current structure has eight divisions, including 6, 5 + Bonus Ball, 5, 4 + Bonus Ball, 4, 3 + Bonus Ball, 2 + Bonus Ball and 3 main numbers. Recorded prizes are shown from the stored draw and are not reconstructed when unavailable.
